In July 1994, Rev. Johannson became the president of Elim Bible Institute in Lima, NY.  Paul graduated from Elim in 1956 and his wife, Gloria, was in the same class.  Together, they served in Kenya and East Africa for 11 years and then taught at Elim.  In 1984, they moved to New York City to establish the NY School of Urban Ministry to prepare students to meet the challenges of urban ministry.
