Looking forward with Hope

“Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.”  — Psalm 23:6

This verse above was tenderly chosen for the Celebration of Life service for our dear friend and team member, Bonnie Miller. After nearly two years of courageously battling cancer, Bonnie went home to be with the Lord on April 7th at the age of 61. Her passing has left a deep ache in our hearts. Bonnie was a quiet pillar of this ministry — faithfully caring for the Retreat’s bookstore, overseeing the Blessing Shop, and managing the bookkeeping for her husband’s business. She also birthed and led the Worship & Warfare Dance team, which was such a beautiful expression of her heart for worship. At her memorial, the Main Auditorium was filled with love — family, friends, staff, and members of the dance team gathered to honor her life and legacy. She is deeply, dearly missed. Please continue to keep her loved ones in your prayers.

May be an image of 6 people, lighting, crowd and textApril 26th Dinner and Worship Night brought a sweet time of fellowship & worship, as members from our Director’s home church led a night of praise and testimony. It was a much-needed time of rest and renewal for our Blue Mountain worship team, who were able to simply receive and be ministered to. As stories were shared of God’s goodness — past and present — we were reminded of His faithfulness through every season. One powerful testimony came from a guest staying nearby in Retreat Village. She shared how she had taken a bad fall down a staircase, hitting her head and severely breaking her upper arm against a stone fireplace. The situation was serious, and surgery seemed likely. But the doctors deemed it too risky; and  by God’s grace — her arm has begun healing on its own. No surgery, just divine healing!
