January Devotional: We will not be shaken.

Psalm 16: 8 I keep my eyes always on the LORD. With him at my right hand, I will not be shaken.

There is always something going on in life that just seems to not get better. We do all we can to make it better, but still no change. These trying times can make or break a person.

In these situations, we can either get stretched and molded, or get burned out of all hope as we become broken and weary. When the situations seems out of control, we can choose how they affect us because how we respond remains entirely in our control.

Most people live in their hurt, without healing, or life life “fixing it” in their own strength- both are recipes for destruction. Praise God that we have the option to respond to these situations by keeping our eyes on Jesus, trusting He is in control!
